I like The Curl defining duo because it creates soft touchable, not crunchy curls. My curls however were still poofy after drying and didn’t dry the way it ‘looked when wet’ in spite of the fact that the ad stated that it would. A bit disappointed but I will continue using.

I like them better seperat. I love the softness of the cream and love the xurl I get from the gel. I would get this product again.

At first I wasn't using it properly the way the directions suggested on the product. But then I start to use small amounts -very small amounts for each section with the moisturizer and then I raked and glided the gel on to my hair- from root to tip, and it turned out great (with no flaking)! So yes a little does go a long way when it comes to the moisturizer and for the gel yeah you have to use a good amount and work thin rectangular sections.
